nawlinscruiser22 Posted September 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2011 Just wondering how the first cruise out of NOLA and post dry dock went! I'm excited to be sailing her soon!!! Check-in and boarding didn't begin until much later than usual. To add insult to injury, the computer system wasn't working so the check-in agents had to do everything manually. This obviously took more time than the usual swipe and go check-in. We ended up staying in port until 9ish instead of leaving around 5 like we normally do. Muster was held Friday morning at 10 instead of before sail away and our arrival in Cozumel was pushed back by an hour. Despite these snafus, it was still one of our better cruises as the ship was clean, the mattresses comfortable, service was great and the food was better than ever! Can't wait to be onboard again in a few weeks:) __________________

tallyho8 Posted September 28, 2011 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2011 I read it got stuck in the mud/sand? Is this true? It didn't get stuck in the mud. It just hit bottom at the Julia wharf before they moved it up to the Erato wharf for loading. They had dredges out there all day today dredging the area deeper. The dredges will probably be out there for the next couple of weeks and you can watch them at times at the port of New Orleans website at http://www.portno.com/pno_pages/cruises_building_webcam.htm
