Onboard Credits for existing bookings?

Am trying to decide if I want to book Freedom of the Seas. I'm travelling on the Voyager in January 2006, but until then I won't be a C&A member. Can I apply the C&A credits onboard retroactively in January if I book now, or will I have to cancel the booking in January, and then rebook onboard to get the credits?

You have to book onboard to get the onboard credits on your next sailing.

You will have to cancel your booking and rebook on board. Book now and if the price stays the same, you can rebook and come out ahead. If :) the price goes up you will have the lower price.

I did just this on the Mariner this past week. Booked same itinerary I had already booked (fund just as good cabins) on board. When I returned, instructed my TA to cancel the old bookings, and for the new ones to be transferred to her. A little work, but worth the $100/cabin onboard credit.
