VaBeachCruiser Posted April 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Advice from all of you experienced travelers, please! My DH and I are trying to decide between Baltimore to Bermuda or Ft Lauderdale to Key West, Cozumel, and Belize in early November. I like the idea of seeing Bermuda, but am concerned that our days at sea will be rather chilly, so I am considering switching to Caribbean in the hopes of more sun and fun type weather. We are both "summer people".........any thoughts?
cincicruisers Posted April 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2005 I have not done the Bermuda, but the Caribbean weather was wonderful in November when we took the Jewel. Either way I hope you have a wonderful cruise.
jrm9999 Posted April 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Carribbean hands down. November is getting into the off-season in Bermuda. Early November may not be bad but mid to late the air and water temperature should start to drop. I guess that also depends what you consider colder weather too. When I say temperatures start to drop, were talking about going from daytime highs around 85 down to about 70.
ZPOOD@AOL.COM Posted April 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Ive done them both. We always cruise nov/ dec. However our cruise to Bemuda was last week of Oct. Too chilly for water activities. Futher south you go the warmer it will be.
VaBeachCruiser Posted April 5, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted April 5, 2005 Sounds like Caribbean here we come!
MrsPete Posted April 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2005 The Caribbean is perfect in November. Warm enough for swimsuits and shorts during the day, but not so hot that you'll sweat and become exhausted quickly. A bit chilly at night sometimes, so be sure to bring a wrap for those evening strolls up on deck.
