cajunpepsi Posted April 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2005 We have a group of ten travelling next week on the Dawn, we have all selected personal choice dining, I was wondering how difficult it would be to get us all seated together. Is it possible to work out a reservation ahead of time? Say around 730 or so? We have always done assigned times in the past, early gets in the way of sailaways, and dont care to eat too late, so 7 or 730 works good for the group, just didnt know if we could get in done. spongerob Posted April 3, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2005 This might be a case where a bribe, or pre-trip, would work wonders. Of course, everyone else in the world, or so it seems will want to eat at the exact same time you are requesting. Policies and procedures seem to vary from maitre d' to maitre d', so it is very hard to predict how successful you will be. Good luck!
BigTimeCruiser Posted April 3, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 3, 2005 You will need to speak with the Head Waiter about your group. The timing you are requesting is during their busy period. Usually the Head Waiter will try to book groups earlier for specific tables or specific waiters. Or they will make reservations for later. In any case, I too would recommend that you contact the Head Waiter about your desires. And as one of their corporate policies says, "Never Say No", and they don't. Almost everyone would love to have 7:30 as the time to eat!
spongerob Posted April 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Wot is a pre-trip? It's the distraction you use to divert attention just before you trip someone. :)
