DDMau Posted October 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2011 We have stayed at the Maxwell and it was very comfortable and close to the center. We have reservations for Dec. 31 for New Years eve at the Space Needle.
Rare Gardyloo Posted October 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2011 The Warwick is downtown and walkable from most attractions; in the free bus zone. The Maxwell is near Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP) and not walkable to/from the downtown sights; also it will require using paid public transportation. kcfoxy Posted October 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2011 The shuttle from Sea-Tac stops right at the Warwick. They have a lovely little French restaurant on site...the razor clam chowder is still a fond memory and some good breakfasts as well. But you will have a total of 4 Tom Douglas eateries within 1 block's walk, a great selling point. Pike's Place within walking distance or take the free bus zone transportation...a 24 hour grocery (albeit not cheap) is right across the street. rlkubi Posted October 24, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted October 24, 2011 KC, so you are talking about the Warwick right in the 2nd paragraph?
Dan G Posted October 24, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2011 Warwick is in the heart of downtown while the Maxwell is near the Space Needle. For sightseeing being downtown beats anything away from the city center so yes it would be my preference.

DDMau Posted October 28, 2011 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2011 Is there alot of traffic downtown and places to park? There are places to park in Seattle but in Kirkland there are people standing in the parking stall saving them, kinda should have run her over. peachpeeps Posted October 31, 2011 #11 Share Posted October 31, 2011 The Maxwell is very nice but you will need transportation if you want to go downtown.
