mmcruise Posted October 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2011 We're not sailing until April, but with snow in the forecast for the east coast, I've got cruisin' on my mind. So, I'm wondering how this works The only showing of "Chicago" on the current at-a-glance (Eastern Caribb) that works for us is on Tuesday at 7pm. It looks like currently, there are shows at 9pm on Sunday (not a kid-friendly show, and usually on the first night there's no Kids' Club), and 10:30pm on Monday (can't go that late and keep DS up until midnight or later), or the 7pm show on Tuesday. Who, exactly, can go to a 7pm show? 6pm seating (which we have) isn't over until at least 7:30 - you can rush it but no way are you out in under an hour - and 8:15pm seating would make you late for dinner. Has anybody gone to the Tuesday 7pm "Chicago" and how did you handle?
Beccafcr Posted October 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Couldnt you do ny time dining, windjammer or a speciality restaurant that night?
joand452 Posted October 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 27, 2011 That was the show we booked, too. We told our server the night before that we wouldn't be at dinner the next night and told him why. He insisted he could get us out of there in plenty of time. We didn't want to have to rush through dinner, so we just had an early dinner in the Windjammer (or maybe even hot dogs at the Boardwalk Dog House) that night. Then I had a nice nap during the show!! :p They're very understanding in the dining room that maybe not all diners will be there each night. During our second week, we were seated at a table for 8 or 10 and usually it was just four of us there. Hope you love Allure as much as we did! mmcruise Posted October 27, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted October 27, 2011 We have "My Family Time" dining at 6pm, where DS is supposed to be done in 45 minutes, so maybe they could get us all fed quickly enough to get there. I don't think that you can do "My Time" for just one night. Specialty rests look like they all start at 6pm, which poses the same problem as MDR, I think. And I guess the Windjammer would be our last resort if nothing else could work, but not our favorite to eat at the buffet for dinner. We can't wait!! (And I may nap during the show anyway, though I love the show!)
