A few Dream questions

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Could anyone who has recently been on the Dream tell me if the electricity is the British 3 prong plug type ?

Also are there hairdryers in the cabins ?

And do they still supply free shampoo, shower gel etc ?

And are the washing machines fed with wash powder ?

Thanks

Is there a fridge in every cabin on the Dream?

Good to hear they're still ok about this. I remember on the Topaz it was fine, can't remember with the Destiny. We went on a Carnival Cruise and they're one of the more relaxed in that you can take one bottle of wine on per person at the start of the cruise, but nothing after that.

I'm wondering if we did this cruise, maybe we could pop back off the boat at Santa Cruz and get a few bits and pieces before departure (usually midnight). This might make all inclusive a bit less attractive.

Still swithering anyway because of the price of the cruise being so high too.

The sockets - are they round 2 pin european style (rather than the flat pinned American ones)?

Also, is the hairdrier ok on the Dream, or should I take a travel one?

Iron's I don't think are allowed, is there a room where you can iron a few things? Also, are there plenty of hangers?

Hairdrier is excellent and powerful

Before I used it

Personal irons not permitted in cabins and to my knowledge no seperate room for ironing a few things.Only option is to use the ships laundry/ironing service which isn`t particularly cheap I don`t think....Hang your clothes up in the shower room in cabin, that`ll take the creases out.

Plenty hangers,if not ask your cabin steward and he`ll sort you out with more.

Thanks, looks like I'll get more than I expect from the hairdrier.

One a serious note though, does it actually work ok, or best take my own?

Glad to hear the Euro is ok-ish. I think we'll just get them from a cashline somewhere over there - we've got about €90 for starters.
