When we were on the Emerald 3 years ago we purchased the package that allowed us to go in to "steam and sauna" room-unlimited use. At that time we noticed several people in there who did not pay a thing but just walked in. There was no one watching it. After several complaints they did offer us a free massage and facial-which in essence ended up costing us because of the tip. Last year on the Emerald we did not purchase the package nor do I think we ever went in it.

Has anyone use this lately and are they still charging a package fee and is there anyone there to check to see if you purchased the package?

Remember that all the people in suites get this perk for free. When I am in a suite, I just walk in as well because there is nothing to pay.:rolleyes:

There is no charge to use the steam room for anyone on the ship as far as I know. My wife sometimes goes in for while but it's altogether to hot for me.
