Tampa Hotels

Morning All,

 

Looking for some recommendations for a pre cruise hotel stay inTampa. Also if we use priceline, the area closest to the port would be downtown Tampa?

they picked us up at the airport when we arrived, dropped us at the port the next day and when the cruise was over they picked us up and took us back to the airport for $25 above the rate. Also, this is more like a condo, not so much like a hotel. Really nice for the price we thought. BUt if you are looking for something in the heart of Tampa this is not the place. We ate at a plce nearby called green iguana or ummmm...something...something...Iguana, LOL...anyway..if you ask they will tell you where it is, it is one of about 3 or 4 places nearby. GREAT FOOD!

This hotel got some pretty good reviews, might be worth it to check it out :)

Yes, for Priceline you want a downtown hotel. All of the hotels in downtown are beautiful, and you won't go wrong. The Marriott Waterside is the only one I have been in, although never to a room. Great location and food and it is all top notch. Family has stayed at the Hyatt and said it was also very nice. Both are close to the port. They got the Hyatt from Priceline. The Radisson, is also on the water, but not as close to the port. Friends like going there for meals before performances at the nearby arts center.
