Walk to town?

From Havensight you can walk on scooter friendly paths through Yacht Haven Grande, a marina/shopping complex next to Havensight, and then on sidewalks to the downtown area of Charlotte Amalie. Downtown has sidewalks which are generally very crowded, but that depends on the number of ships in port. It is about a mile or so to the downtown area from Havensight. The shops are pretty much the same IMO. Crown Bay, the other dockage, is further from downtown and there are some areas on the way with no sidewalks etc. Not a scooter friendly walk:(.

St John is not scooter friendly:(. The shopping is spread out and up and downstairs. Few sidewalks and they are in poor repair. The shopping is mainly fairly expensive craft/art type objects. It is a wonderful place for a tour of the Island by taxi.:) It also is wonderful place to shop for specific items, but not inexpensive souvenir type items.
