cruz guy Posted November 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2011 We will be in St. Marten on a Wed and by what I have read, that is the day most venders are at the Marigot outside market. Is it worth it to put that into our plans for the day? Is it the usual tourist stuff (t shirts, caps etcd) or anything a bit more unique? If we go, do they accept the dollar or will we have to change our money? How are the prices? How much time to allow?
Host Faith Posted November 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I really enjoyed the market. I think about an hour or so is enough time, unless you're planning to eat lunch. They do have some of the more 'touristy' items for sale, but also have some items that stand out. I bought some really good spices, like jerk seasoning (I ran out a while ago and can't find anything that comes close), and a watercolor from a local artist. They accept the US dollar there.
