Rare l2f Posted November 10, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I know there is 2 schools of thought as to get to the cruise terminal early or late. How early do the doors open to cruisers?
Miller_KC Posted November 10, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2011 I don't know how early they start letting people in but I arrived at 10:30 (hotel checkout was 10:00) and about 100 people were already seated in the waiting room. About 30 minutes to go through security and get checked in. Boarding started about 11:40. They only had a few checkin windows open until 11:00 then they opened all the windows. The hotel shuttle driver told us we wouldn't be allowed into port before 11:30 but we took a taxi and had no problem getting in. We watched the hotel shuttles and airport busses arrive from the Lido deck :).
bills blasters Posted November 10, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2011 We have always left the hotel about 9, and at the pier by 9:30. Only had to wait a short time for someone to get your luggage, and were inside the building by 10:00. Usually started boarding by 11:15. We are always the first group to board after VIP and weddings. There is a nice place to sit inside and wait, and it is always fun to visit with the other cruisers. Claudia
SkyMaster Posted November 10, 2011 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2011 They usually start boarding folks at around 11 A.M. You can, of course, get into the terminal before that, but you'll just have to sit and wait for U.S. Customs, etc., to clear the ship for boarding. Have a GREAT cruise.
