GracieCat0_1 Posted November 11, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2011 We will have DS age 2.5 with us in March. Is possible for us to walk with him in a stroller to a calm, clean beach? It looks like Carlisle has good recommendations. We would like to keep him out cars unless he is in his carseat. Can someone share directions from the cruise pier? Any other recommendations for 3 snorkeling loving adults and 1 energetic 2yo? Thanks!
Essexlass2 Posted November 12, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2011 We are heading there in December and I gather you simply turn right out of the cruise port and walk for around 20-30 minutes keeping the sea on your right side until you reach Carlisle Bay. If you Google Bridgetown, you will probably be able to get a street map that will help you too.
shavdog Posted November 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2011 from the ship terminal...stay to right and walk along the nice walking path into town..it might be a mile...once downtown, find the street along the canal...its to the right...then walk further along the canal for maybe 3-4 blocks then cross the bridge to the right..they always have fruit vendors accross the bridge so you know thats right...keep walking straight for about 3-4 blocks..there will be an old church on your left for a mark...then you will come up to boatyard on your right...keep walking if you want to other entrances to the beach...keep in mind boatyard has an entrance fee for the day...other areas further down you can access the beach for free but have to pay for umbrellas etc...this is alittle crude but in genl correct...I would guess it would take 30-45 minutes to walk...stroller will work..good luck
