Nassau Things to do comparison (Beaches)

we are a mid 40's couple with our son age 16.

December 4 night cruise on RCCL Monarch of the Seas.

CoCoa Cay -- RCCL's private beach is one of the stops.

We are now trying to decide what to do in Nassau. Not into the shopping thing. More interested in the great outdoors. Need to know details like: Distance from pier, method of transportation from pier, cost for transport, chairs/umbrellas, entry fee, food/drink hut, sandy or rocky, bathrooms, watersports --- and we are comparing the following:

-Beach Hilton

-Beach Sheraton

-Beach Junkakoo

-Beach Saunders

-Beach Goodmans Bay

-Blue Lagoon

With a 16 year old, I'd count out the Hilton and Goodman Bay right off the bat. Hilton is too low keyed, Goodmans Bay is dead and the water can be dangerous in the winter months. It's also deserted, which is not a good thing if you need help after being caught in a rip tide.

Sauders is a tiny slip of beach on the roadway. Not really anything to do.

There's plenty of great info here on all the rest. Just do a search.
