Family Time Dining

I've never tried this before and want to. I'm sailing on Enchantment and am curious how it works. This is supposedly where Ocean Adventure reps come in and take the kids halfway through Main seating dining in the MDR, and the adults can finish their dinner while the kids are off playing.

Can anybody share their experience please :)

Hello there, We did MTD on the Marnier in 2009 and let me tell you one thing it was great, just great. My boys were 3 and 4 an3 nights they stayed with us and yowards the middle of the cruise the really liked the kids program that they wanted to go. You can't sign up you have to call RCL and change your dinning option to MTD and pre pay your grats $83.55 on 7 days per person. Then as soon as you get on the ship go sraight to the the main dinning room and tell them roughly what time you will be comming. With our kids we eat dinner pretty early between 5:30 and 6pm so we told them that and every night they had our table ready we were even late a couple of nights 15mins or so no waits.

One thing I learnes reading these posts is that you can request a table by the window ( oceanview)

the next stop should be the kids club and register your kids, and also tell them what time you want them to pick up your kids.

the waiters will serve the kids within 30 minutes and then you can carry on with your meal. One of the adults must meet the kids club cordinater just outside the Main dinning hall to hand of your kids.

Just loved this option works great with small kids.

Hope this helps!!!!

We did this on our last cruise. You don't have to be in MTD, we had early deating. From my understanding they only pick up during Main seating time. You sign up that day in AO for a counselor to pickup and they tell you to have the children out by the main entrance at a certain time.

You can arrange this either on RCI's website online or as soon as you board. Adventure Ocean Staff are right at the entrance where you enter the ship where they will give the kids their muster station bracelets and I think you can take care of the pickup arrangements right there. Also, I believe they only provide the pickup service during main seating.
