How does Cozumel snorkeling compare...?

thinking about doing snorkel boat trip in cozumel. Have heard a lot about palancar reef and columbia reef. My question is how do these compare with the barrier reef in cayman? Any other reefs that are better?

 

If it is not that much different we were thinking just chankanaab park park and snorkel from there.

Those two Coz reefs have very similar coral and other marine life compared to Cayman's Barrier Reef. Where Coz has the advantage is there are a number of off shore reefs, all of them good to excellent. Last time with Eagle Ray our third reef was Punta Sur. Punta Sur is even better than Palancar or Columbia!:D

 

As good as Coz and GC are, Roatan rules. Fantastic reefs.

Thanks for the info. I know Roatan seems to be the best! Last year we docked at mahagony bay and I regret not going snorkeling or at least Tabyana beach. (we just stayed at the cruise port). I will have to go back some day
