Jewel cabin 7014

Haven't sailed on RC since 2004. Platinum member and have been sailing Princess lately. Anyone have cabin 7014 or have any insight into this cabin? Also, how should I expect RC to differ from Princess? We love the Sanctuary on Princess but understand there is a Solarium on Jewel...what is it like? Does it get crowded and do you have to rush up to get a chair? Are there movies and how is the entertainment, specifically the smaller musical acts? thanks for any info..

The solarium is a climate controlled pool area with a retractable glass roof. It can get crowded at times, especially if the outside weather conditions are inclement, but I have usually had no serious problem finding a seat. Chair hogs are no better or worse on the Jewel than on most ships. There is no charge to use the Solarium.

There is a relatively small Cinema with stadium style seating situated between the Sports Bar and the main theater on the ship, and most of the movies will also be shown on your stateroom TV. Jewel is not due to be revitalized for a few years yet so there is no outside movie screen at present.

The quality of the entertainment varies from cruise to cruise and will depend to a great degree on the performers who have been signed to perform on your cruise. Some of the headliners are quite good. The production dancers and singers are at least of the same quality as you experienced on Princess. Tango Buenos Aires is one of the more popular shows featured on Jewel.:)
