On ships with no DL, there is a nightly Diamond event, as you know. Normally, at a Diamond event, drinks other than wine and champagne are charged at 25% off. Because Vision has no CL, either, everything is combined into one gathering for Suite guests, Pinnacles, Diamond Plus, and Diamond in the Viking Crown Lounge. No one was charged anything on our Panama Canal cruise in March. We sat with two Diamond couples, a Diamond Plus couple, a Pinnacle couple, and a Suite couple every night, and no one was charged anything for the 15 nights we were there. There was quite a bit of taste-testing, too, so I would have noticed if seapass cards were used. Oh, yes, we had a regular variety of hot and cold canapés and hors d' oeuvres every night, also complimentary. (DH always tips as drinks are delivered. After the first night or so, the drinks usually beat us to the table.)

 

That was our experience. :)

 

Thanks for the info. I also expected there would just be nuts if anything to eat was served. For an old ship with no place to go (meaning specialty restaurants or CL or DL ;) ) this sounds better and better all the time.

One thing I noticed was all the shorts at night..........Oh,I know it's "allowed",but it sure takes away from the atmosphere,esp on formal night......:mad::mad:

The pics on the phone didn't come out. They were so bad they were deleted. But I bought a foolproof camera any dummy can use. They can slam down the button, without waiting for the focus like a small point and shoot requires, and it focuses instantly - like a SLR. I bought this large camera as defense against bad photographers. :)

 

I wasn't sure what to call you. Maybe Kathy would do. :D

Thanks. I can visually see the 0 in front of the 1 in your post, however when I click on the link, the 0 isn't in the actual email address itself. Try it and you'll see what I mean. The actual link needs to be edited to include the 0. I'm pretty sure that everyone who uses that link, sends their email to: OA_Concierge1@rccl and not OA_Concierge01@rccl, it may still be getting to the desired location though. My work emails get though even if the sender messes up (slightly) my email address.

To email the concierge,use the 2 letter code for ship(i.e EX for Explorer),followed by an underscore then Concierge@rccl.com

The underscore is ONLY between the ships two letters and Concierge.

i.e

EX_Concierge@rccl.com

**For the Grandeur GR_SuitesConcierge@rccl.com

 

**On Oasis and Allure you need a 01 or 02 in the email address since there are 2 concierges on each ship

i.e

OA_Concierge01@rccl.com

OA_Concierge02@rccl.com

 

On ships with Diamond lounge concierge,add the word Diamond in front of Concierge

i.e

FR_DiamondConcierge@rccl.com

I still don't understand why it was like that

I bet it still got through to them, which is why nobody said anything. I just happened to notice the difference when I clicked on the link.
