Magnetic Walls on HAL?

We always bring magnets to post reservations, programs, etc. and have used them on the Eurodam, Noordam, Amsterdam, Statendam and maybe the Ryndam.

 

My walls on Amsterdam were NOT magnetic.

When we were on the Princess cruises, the walls in the staterooms were magnetic so we could hang our maps on the wall. Does anyone know if the walls on the HAL ships are magnetic or should I bring some thumbtacks!!!:D

 

Yes, they are, it's because of the radiation in the water.....

We were just on the Prisendam & the walls in our cabin are magnetic. Brought magnetic clips & hung excursion tickets, Mariner lunch invites, receipts from the bar etc on mine.

The walls on the Maasdam, Statendam, Ryndam and Zaandam are magnetic. My husband brings large magnets (hold 50 lbs) and uses them to hang his dress shirts on the wall. I hang my purses on the walls.

I uses tape on the vanity mirror for all my tickets and notes.

As you can see I could put up magnets on the wall of my cabin on Westerdam. The clip magnet at the bottom was the Westerdam magnet I purchased onboard.

 

My cabin door was not magnetized. Somebody actually asked that here on Cruise Critic as I was sitting in my cabin, so I tried it. Everything just fell right down (I even tried the clip magnet with nothing in the clip).

 

I remembered seeing your magnets on the cabin crawl and thought what a good idea it was. I added a few clothespin type magnets to my cruise stuff for the cruise to Bermuda in June but they would not work on the Veendam.

Since we will be back on the Westerdam with you next April I will be sure to bring them then.
