gadan1 Posted November 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2011 Airplane mode means the antenna is off; no incoming/outgoing calls, no texts, no data (calls will go to voicemail and texts will appear once out of airplane mode). Airplane mode prevents any charges to your cell phone bill. If you still want calls and texts (and are willing to pay for them), you can just turn your data roaming off and that will leave calls, texts on but prevent data usage outside of your carrier's network. *Mach* Posted November 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2011 Gadan is pretty much spot on regarding airplane mode. Really, unless you have a smart phone with functions you want to use while on board you may as well shut it off... same effect and the batteries don't drain. Rain... well... there's a bunch to do inside the ship during nasty weather. They'll organize games like trivia contests and such to keep folks occupied in addition to all of the normally scheduled activities. As for Nassau... rain is a daily factor in the islands. It's amazingly common that a shower will pop up in the mid afternoon and be gone in 30 minutes. Don't fret it... most of the day will likely be beautiful! :)
