dsaurus Posted November 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Does anyone know if the aft balconys and rooms (the regular ones, not the suites) are any larger than the regular balcony rooms that are on the side? I had one on a celebrity cruise and the room was the same but the balcony was huge. On the norwegian site it looks about the same.
emcelh Posted November 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2011 The ones on deck 10 are much deeper than those on 8 and 9.
time2cruise1 Posted November 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2011 The cabins are identical to any other balcony cabin. The aft balcony cabins on 10 as pointed out are twice as deep as any other balcony cabin. The balconies on 8 & 9 are about the same size as any other balcony but still have the best view on the ship. FEckeT Posted November 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2011 Does anyone have any photos of the aft of the Jewel to share? I am considering taking my 4 yr old grandson how are the kids programs? Thanks Let's see if I can figure out how to upload a picture  If I can, this is a picture of the Jewel AFT balcony on the 10th deck, no suite. We also stayed in cabin 10168 the year before and the balcony was just as large. We never stayed in a side balcony cabin so I do not know if the cabin is larger, I am just assuming the balcony is MUCH larger. I am not exactly the greatest photographer though, and this picture was taken with my cell phone. :) You can actually have two recliners; two chairs AND two tables. The front one third of the balcony is not covered so you can even get some sun.
Ask4Jay Posted November 22, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 22, 2011 @dutchess43 - We took our grandson for his 12th birthday on the Jewel. The cruise was during school vacation, and he did not like the mass of youngsters in the program. Therefore he did not go and hung out with us. He's more laid back. His sister a few years ago had a great time (her parents had taken her out of school, therefor fewer kids). Below are a few pix of the aft end. via iPod touch and Tapatalk.
