ja940 Posted November 23, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2011 Has anyone taken a private tour of El Yunque rainforest in San Juan? We will be there Tuesday 12/6/11 on the Eurodam and would like to spend several hours seeing the sites. What is the easiest way to accomplish this? Aviator of the Seas Posted November 23, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2011 There will be plenty of independent tour guides with vans just outside your terminal. Sadly, I cannot recommend any particular one as I am a local. However, all authorized and licensed tour vehicles must have a PR Tourism Company license plate that consists of four numbers followed by ET (Excursiones Turísticas), both in front and back of the vehicle. If they don't have this, don't go unless you somehow find a taxi that's willing to go out there (license plates ending in TT - taxi Turístico). Also, I'm sure that your ship will offer cattle drive excursions to the rainforest.
