luddite Posted November 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2011 They will scan the bag and you'll be directed to a table where they will assess and tag the wine.
PeleNipsy Posted November 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2011 Or, you might luck out and they never say anything. Last time, I tossed a bottle of champaign in my carry-on for sail away and had planned on paying the corkage fee. I even kept asking where I needed to pay it, but they kept pushing me thru the line. Walked right on and never found the table to pay.

Walked right on and never found the table to pay. That's sweet! They always see mine and won't even let me take the carry-on. One of the security people has always walked it over to the corkage desk. Check out the yellow bin next to that desk, that is where all the confiscated booze from carry-ons ends up. It's pretty funny what some people will try to smuggle on, we once saw SIX 1.75 bottles of vodka there (all from one person!)
luddite Posted November 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2011 The security guys don't always remove all of the wine for the NCL rep to assess.
