GTY Cabin and upgrade

How often do you get an upgrade from RCCL if you book a GTY cabin? My understanding is if your cabin is assigned -- very unlikely, but GTY? I know princess is pretty good about it...

Upgrades depend on how full the ship is. Are you cruising during peak season or off season?

Hi,

 

I purchased a guarantee cabin last May for a cruise starting 4/17/05. I received e-documents about 4 weeks ago stating a cabin # in the class I purchased. I have actually known the cabin # since January. Yesterday, I went on the RCCL website and looked up my reservation and noticed that the cabin # has changed from what was listed on the cruise documents. I am still in the same class cabin; all the balcony cabins are sold on this cruise. I was, however, moved to a more desirable location on the ship, in my opinion. If it doesn't change again between now and next week, I'm happy. If they changed me once they might do it again. Maybe even a better cabin! I don't plan on spending much time in it anyway.

 

Whatever happens, I'll be out there.....soon!
