cattylady Posted December 2, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2011 On my trip we will need both AUD and NZD but have no idea how much of each. If I change up too much can I use any left over to reduce my On Board account at the end of the cruise. This will help me to avoid drawing too little/too much. Thanks again everyone:eek:

Thanks again everyone:eek: Not sure what ship you are sailing on, but all RCI ships operate on US$ for onboard charges. I assume you are sailing from/to Australia or New Zealand from the currency you mention. In order to use any currencies other than US$ to reduce your onboard account, RCI will first change your currency into US $ at their exchange rate and then apply it to your account. Does that help? jcl410 Posted December 3, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2011 For small purchases, I would use an ATM at the first(only) stop in each country and withdraw a enough local currency for the odd souvenir, snack, etc. I would use a credit/debit card for any large purchases Aloha, John
