Brudette Posted December 15, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2011 Hi! My husband and I are planning a cruise that stops in Grenada on a Sunday. We keep it low key on Sundays for religious reasons, even on vacation, and we're wondering what we might be able to see or do in Grenada that won't require us to spend money, take a taxi, etc. Are there things to see and places to walk around close by the pier? I've gathered from posts I've read that there are no beaches within walking distance, but there is a fort of some kind? Anyone have details on those or anything else we might be able to do? Thanks in advance!! Mary

SanLan Posted December 17, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2011 You will be able to walk to Fort George, the Caranage, several beautiful churches (some still in need of repair following Hurricane Ivan, the Spice Market(usually open when cruise ships come in on a Sunday), and just spend some time chatting with the wonderful, friendly people of Grenada.
