Comparison between Crystal, Regent and Seabourn

The way I understand where headboards are on Seabourn is that they are diagonally away from the cabin door while the wall leading from the door to the balcony (or window on deck 4) is opposite the headboard. This applies to the standard cabins and penthouses.

 

BTW, I much prefer the layout of the cabins on the Odyssey class ships with their bathroom and closet doors facing the opposite wall (vs the rest of the cabin). One reason is that turning on the light in the middle of the night won't necessarily disturb your partner. Also, the layout just feels bigger and more spacious although I am not sure by how much it may be so.

What you call elegant on Regent I call bling-y. Their new ship, the Explorer, looks like it belongs in Vegas imo. Seabourn deliberately goes for a quieter, more dignified decor.

 

I can't speak of Seabourn since our first cruise thereon comes this November but, yes, Regent definitely is on the bling-y, glitzy, Las Vegas end of the spectrum.

I like the soft tones of this suite. We don't like bling. Nice picture.

Seabourn doesn't do bling. The ambiance is elegantly relaxed, which contributes to the charm and warmth of Seabourn.
