Packing Question

We are not taking checked luggage only rolling carry on. My question is can I take my carry on and use my beach bag as my "purse"? :D

If it's small enough to be an airline carry on you'll be fine...until you run out of clothes because you underpacked. :eek: I pack a ton of stuff for a cruise!

I'm impressed OP. I have to much that won't make it thru carry-on xray (shampoos, etc) that I can't be it all as carry-on. A big purse along with the carry-on will work fine - don't worry. Enjoy your trip.

Most airlines allow one carry on and one personal item like a purse or backpack. A beach bag should be fine. Carnival's only limitation is that it needs to fit through the scanner.

Pretty much if you can carry it you can bring it on board. And you will NOT run out of clothes. Even on our first cruise we did exactly what you are doing and were fine. I have no need to change 3 times a day and packing light is a very high priority for me. If I need something else- a cruise ship is not Siberia. In Siberia, you can't buy it- I know because I was there. There is nothing you need that you could not replace onboard with the exception of your medications. Everything else you wither don't need, or can get.

I packed way too many clothes in April so Im packing half and then Im mailing shampoo, sunscreen etc to the hotel we are staying at precruise. :p

No problem. On one cruise, I carried on a school backpack, a medium sized rolling suitcase, and a suiter (suitcase for carrying a suit). I didn't check anything. Cruiselines don't have the same restrictions as airlines. If it fits through the scanner, you can carry it on. For carryons, there is a height & width restriction, which is quite large (don't know it exactly), but there is no length restriction.

Sure - you can take anything you can carry. You'll have to lug it all around till 1:30 or so, when the rooms are ready.

As long as the beach bag is not plastic lined. If it is lined in plastic and larger than 12x12x12 they consider it a cooler and will take it:(
