men's dress socks???

are they supposed to match the pants or the shoe? black shoes and black socks seems correct, but brown shoes and brown socks? :confused: then again, tan pants, brown shoes, tan socks seems weird, too. :p HELP!

socks are an extension of the pants... match the pants and you are in good shape... this is the gospel according to GQ mag and brooks brothers clothing... :)
