Taxi lineup at ship

Recommended Posts

I will be cruising out of/into Barcelona in July and I understand that there is usually a long line of taxis waiting for passengers at the ship. However, am I better off contracting a car/taxi service to take me to the airport or is the line to get a taxi a non-event.

For those who have contracted a car/taxi, do they hold up a sign with your name at the foot of the gangplank or is there a separate waiting area from the line of taxis?

Thanks for the input. First cruise and I am trying to cover all bases.
