Brandon Beach

We have booked a morning 4x4 trip around the island and would like a quiet few hours on a beach in the afternoon. I believe Brandon Beach is walkable from the cruise port and wondered what its like(we will be in port on a sunday). After rushing around in the morning we would like a walk if Brandon Beach is very nice any other ideas. ? Our ship dosen't leave until the evening as this is a turn-around port. thanks

I was there in Sep 2011, and we thought it was a lovely beach. We walked back, and I GPS'd the trail w/photos.

 

The 3 of us were the only tourists there that afternoon, but there were some locals. I saw bathrooms and showers, but didn't use them. I sat at the bar chatting with the bartender while eating the MOST DELICIOUS flying fish fingers!

 

We couldn't understand why nobody else was there - soft white sand, long beach, calm water, but I didn't go in. The beach borders a kind of industrial area, so the surrounding area isn't that beautiful. The beer distillery is across the street so you can check that, too.
