Botanic Gardend

Can anyone tell me if now is a good time of year to go to the Botanic Gardens? Is there a lot in bloom?

 

Also, is it easy to get to on your own? How far from the port and what is the best way to get there (bus, taxi, etc.)

Not sure if it's a good time of year to go there or not but by far the cheapest way to get there is to take the local bus. It's quite a ways from Georgetown to the gardens but the gardens are quite nice and worth visiting.
