Eastbound Queen Mary Diverted

Peter,

You can probably see by the time that we are having difficulty sleeping !!!

At 0400 QM2 is south of the Isle of Wight at 24 knots and estimating arrival at 0545 BST.

So providing we don't get major road closures across the south of england that mean we cannot get to the ship from Salisbury, it looks like we are on our way !

Thanks for all your help.

Andrew

BTW - QE2 is just turning into Southampton Water at 8 kts as I write. Isn't the internet wonderful.

Peter,

I just wanted to thank you for posting those great links. I've been checking the webcams to see what the weather is like and to see who is in Port.

As for the aislive link, although I knew that the sisters would be in Port on the same day, what a thrill it is to read the words "Queen Elizabeth 2 - moored" and "Queen Mary 2 - moored".

Also, Theresa, thanks for the post while you were on board yesterday. Happy to hear the good news of the passenger who became ill. I hope you'll write a review of the first crossing of the season.

Rebecca
