JennLuvs2Cruise Posted January 14, 2012 #29 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Interesting. Something DOES seem a bit off about the way this whole event played out.
sjn911 Posted January 14, 2012 #30 Share Posted January 14, 2012 One account I read said the ship was 2 1/2 miles off course, and was moving between two huge rocks that normally only fishing boats move through. Beats me if it's accurate, a bald faced lie, or somewhere in between. But *IF* it's accurate, holy smoke!!! They also pointed out that (obviously) since the captain turned towards shore after impact, then the ship wasn't dead and drifting when it hit the rock. Have been in small channel mountain lake situations that change over course of the summer..I put this into along the picturesque Med coastal extrapolations myself...waiting, waiting for whole story..s.
