mercede70 Posted January 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2012 I have sailed with RC, NCL twice, Princess and Carnival-I have checked a cooler with a case of beer in it on each of the ships minus the Carnival...it was my first cruise and I wasn't as daring.... Does anyone know if Carnival out of Miami is any different than any other ship in looking through luggage? We have had our cooler delivered to our door each trip with no questions asked...we buy drinks on board as well, but it's a nice head start for your "extras" bill. kroozers Posted January 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2012 No chance. Coolers must be 12x12x12 max and they will be examined. They also must be carried on - even nonalcoholic beverages can't be checked to your cabin.
CaribeDiver Posted January 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2012 Get a carryon that will fit 2 12 packs side by side. Be sure to put towels around the edges so it doesn't feel like boxes in there and then check it. If it makes it WOO-HOO. If not then you're just out $25-30. They will give the beer back on your last night on board, if they bother to take it.;)
