Snorkling at Labadee??

Recommended Posts

I was at Labadee in 1996 and snorkled (it really wasn't very good) but going back on Mariner 5/22/5 and did not see snorkling as an offered activity/excursion.We have some first time cruisers with who want to try it out at Labadee (before we get to Grand Cayman) if it's available.Anyone know if they offer snorkling at Labadee?

I think you can rent snorkel gear either on the ship or maybe ashore. You can check once you're aboard. Either way, the snorkeling there isn't much to impress a first timer.

But it's not bad for a beginner to become comfortable in the ocean. Gradual beach and calm waters.

There is a sunken plane in the bay. Can you find it?

Have fun - Labadee is beautiful. Oh, the waverunner excursion is fun here.

So is anyone willing to give up some clues on how we might find the sunken airplane? Is it marked at all? We have our own snorkel equipment, and with only 2 stops on the Voyager repositioning cruise in May we really don't want to miss anything. We are going jeeping and then to DePalm snorkeling in Aruba, and also looking to make the best of Labadee.

Thanks

Karen
