4275princess Posted January 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2012 We had a choice for a 2 day pre cruise @ Sheridan PR @ PAN AM pier or the Conrad. We chose the Conrad due to location being in the Condado area. We figured it was closer to OSJ/other casino's and restuarants. I heard it was @ the "end" of the strip of hotels. What other hotels are within walking distance (like within 10-15 min walk?) Where would you suggest eating breakfast at (anyplace locals use) ... and where can we get good food for supper ($15-20 per meal)? Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks (Is this a safe area to walk around in the evenings)

Thanks (Is this a safe area to walk around in the evenings) There is a nice beach-front restaurant *called Mexican/American restaurant) just a short walk from the hotel. It has windows that open to the ocean and the atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. It's a good place for breakfast. We also ate in the cafe on the 5th floor of Condado for a few meals- it has a great view of the ocean. For a nicer dinner restaurant, they have a nice reasonably priced restaurant on their lower level- I can't remember the name, but the prices and food were quite good. You can walk into downtown Condado very easily where there are shops and a public park/beach area. I can't remember the other hotels close by, but the Condado seemed to be the nicest. I had no problems with walking the area in the daytime, but I'm not sure how far I'd venture at night. It's not as populated as downtown old San Juan, so not as many people on the street. We are going back in the spring and I'm looking forward to staying there again. Enjoy your visit.
