cod Posted January 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Please tell me there is more than a desk chair in these cabins...I don't expect a sofa/couch since there is not a lot of room, but surely there is ONE occasional chair too so that 2 people can sit. Also, I've read that insides on the Star have fridges(?)..how nice that would be! Thanks in advance for your replies!!
rvsullivan Posted January 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2012 At least in some of them I see two chairs and a little table. In others it looks like one chair and two stools. Some are pretty small, so not a lot of room. You could always ask your room steward if he/she can help.
drvalo Posted January 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2012 It's usually a little chair and/or a stool, but I can't imagine using both (if you have both) at the same time for sitting. When we have stayed inside, we have never used either for anything other than a place to put something out of the way under the vanity or desk. Inside is not a good place for anything other than sleeping and changing clothes, and then, sometimes, you have to change clothes one at a time. Sit on the end of the bed if you have them together or on the side of the bed if you have them split. Go out to a bar or restaurant to chat. I don't mind inside cabins at all. It's a great way to cruise if you like to spend elsewhere, but don't expect to spend much time there.
cod Posted January 30, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Yes, you're right. The steward might be able to round up another chair, if just a second desk chair type. The last Carnival cruise we were on (last with two meanings) we were in an inside and it had a little vanity bench and nothing else to sit on. And since their insides are bigger than NCL's, there was a blank wall which looked like something was missing. I did ask the room steward and he rounded up a straight back chair which I never saw a match to anywhere on the ship. I couldn't help but think he ran to HIS cabin and got it from there! But I did appreciate his effort.
cod Posted January 30, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted January 30, 2012 Yes, not a place to spend a lot of time but we do like to get coffee from room service in the morning before heading out. A stool AND a desk chair would suffice...'we shall see' I guess.
Fine and Jim Dandy Posted January 31, 2012 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2012 You might get a second chair but good luck finding anywhere to put it. You will barely have room to sit in one chair. I guess you could put it in the loo and your spouse could sit on the 'other' seat.
