Capri - Back to Marina Grande?

I just wanted to confirm our options to get back to Marina Grande and catch our 4:30pm hydrofoil back to Naples.

 

1. Funicular - crowded between 3-4pm

2. Taxi

3. Walk

 

We will be in Capri in June and our plan is to be at the pier around 4pm so if the funicular has too long a line we can just jump in a cab or walk down, correct?

 

Approx how long is the walk and is it difficult?
