jeffeyner Posted February 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2012 We're going to be on the Valor in a few weeks. Booked a guarantee balcony- got assigned a room today- room 6364. How did we do? Anyone have experience with this room? Looked on Carnival's website & saw it was close to elevators. Not super concerned about noise, but don't want to be up all night either. Thoughts? laumicmah Posted February 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Looks like the Club O2 and arcade areas are right below...shouldn't be too noisy. You are mid ship which is good for motion, but you may hear the music from the atrium lobby some nights...but won't go too late. I'd say you are in a pretty good location...few flights up to Lido and easy shot to promenade, atlantic and lobby. We were on the Glory (same class ship as Valor) in the same location but on deck 8...was very good location. We could hear a band playing in the lobby one night when we were trying to sleep...we just kept our TV on for awhile and all was good.
laumicmah Posted February 1, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Oops...nevermind. We were near the atrium elevators...forward towards midship. Your cabin is near the midship elevators....not the atrium (forward) ones. You won't hear the music/band/karaoke. Great spot!
dkdoob Posted February 1, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2012 We had 6372 on the Glory, and 6288 on the Valor. You are one flight above the coffee bar and casino area. We loved the convenience, and were not bothered by that much noise. Have a great cruise!
*Mach* Posted February 1, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Good one! You're above the casino offices! Should be next to no noise from below. There are MANY cabins on the Upper Deck that get quite a bit of noise from below so you did well. You're also very close to the midships elevators making getting about quite easy! :)

Thoughts? We stayed in 7358 ... above you be sure to try and catch the harbor pilot. He jumps on and off the ship just below and slightly fwd from your cabin. It's really awesome to watch. Must not have been football season on that 6288 on the Valor. :p We heard every cheer and every play of every game that week in the sports bar. Along with the music from the atrium and the elevators dinging. Definitely my least favorite room we've ever had.

Delta Dear Posted February 1, 2012 #9 Share Posted February 1, 2012 We were in 6356 Jan. 15- Jan. 21. You are in a great location. You are close to the midship elevators which take you right up to the Lido Deck, near the pool and near the buffet stations used for made to order omelets, then used as the Mongolian Wok for lunch. We loved the location just a few doors from yours. Have a great time, we sure did.
