Balcony Doors

On Mercury (sister to Galaxy) I thought there was a lock at the top of the door to keep little ones from going out there, but maybe I just dreamed that. Seems like the door was a little tough to open.

Yes, there is a child proof lock mounted high up the balcony door for the regular balcony cabins (swinging door) and the suites (sliding door) on board the Galaxy.

When we were on Summit's sister, Infinity, our balcony cabin had a sliding door with a childproof lock located high up the door frame.

One related note, although in most cases the balcony hand rail is properly designed to discourage climbing, pay attention to the balcony furniture which can be used to climb up and over the rail.....

Which just gives kids more time to get experience on how to get into trouble!
