St. John, NB with elderly person

My mother and I are thinking of doing the trolley excursion in St. John. The description reads, you can get off at the market and walk back to the ship, approximately 3 blocks. My Mom would like to stop at the market, but would be unable to walk back to the ship. Can you always get a taxi back to the ship from there?

There are lots of taxis, so this should not be a problem. I hope others with more knowledge will come on to answer this.

Lynnf, I was in Saint Johns with my mother in 2010 when she was 78 yrs old and using a walker. We're going back this Sept on another cruise. We did a private tour that I arranged in advance because I wanted to ensure that Mom could enjoy the port. Had a wonderful experience. Let me know if you want any info. I live in Moncton, New Brunswick (about 2 hours from Saint John). There are many taxis available and there are also many friendly people willing to help you return to the ship! Have a great time!
