Eating in Galveston

We are booked into the Inn by the Waterpark. Does anyone know if there are any decent restaurants within walking distance of the hotel?

Sorry, there are no restaurants within the immediate area. Moody Gardens has restaurants at the visitors center and at the hotel, but not within walking distance.

Yes Moody Gardens is in walking distance less than a mile!

Well- that is a drag! That means a couple of taxi rides. Pushes up the cost of the hotel quickly!

Prior to our Magic cruise in December, we stayed at Quality Inn on Seawall--wonderful hotel...all rooms had a balcony with sea view. Tortugas Mexican Kitchen was right outside the lobby--great food and THE best guacomole freshly prepared at the table.

We stayed there last week. We would have been happy to have you hitch a ride to a restaurant with us. The people we met there all seemed so very friendly. Have a great cruise.
