Only way to get on Blue Lagoon is by purchasing either a Beach Day excursion or a dolphin or sea lion encounter. check out www.bestonbahamas.com, prices include ferry to Blue Lagoon from Paradise Island as well. Hope that helps!

You can get a beach day (or animal encounter) on the spot but you do have to go to the ferry terminal (taxi ride) to purchase. I've been told you risk them not having any more passes for sale though since they only allow a certain amount of people on the island.

 

You can only get to Blue Lagoon by their ferry (or a ferry from a tour working with them) and that requires you to buy a day pass/encounter to get on the ferry.

If you are traveling in any season except the off season, it's wise to book ahead. Animal programs book up months in advance, and there are only a certain number of seats on each ferry.
