Kaboochi Posted February 14, 2012 Author #26 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Exactly what we're doing on March 18th... Can you tell me please what you did at each port? Also, is there a middle dining room and what is it called? Is regular sitting upstairs or downstairs? Anything/everything you can tell us would be great... Thanks so much I will reply tomorrow, too tired

Elaine515 Posted February 14, 2012 #28 Share Posted February 14, 2012 Hello. Same here...March 18th out of Miami. :D To be somewhat selfish ( :) ) I am interested in your excursions and whether you booked via CCL or not. We did not book through CCL for our first cruise...but it seems that the chance of missing a port due to poor weather happens more in the Winter than Summer. Kids really want to do a swimming with the Dolphins excursion and perhaps a zip lining. Cozumel we're thinking about doing the Paradise Beach thing. Not sure if we were to miss port how painful it could be to get our money back. I'm not that interested in getting OBC straight-away, but would like to get it back if we had to miss a port. Thanks in advance! Come join us... http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1381273 How old are the kids? And where in Palm Beach are you? We're in Boynton and cruising with an 18 year old girl and 19 year old boy...

Kaboochi Posted February 15, 2012 Author #30 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Were you orginally scheduled for Costa Maya or Belize?? We are scheduled for Belize on April 1 but many posts are saying they have not been stopping at Belize. When we will know if they change ports. CCL switched belize for costa maya. We did the cave tubing in belize a few years ago, but the ride there went thru very poor areas. We had decided not to get off the ship this year. We were pleasantly surprised with the switch to Costa Maya. OUr group of 20 hopped into a Van and spent a fun day at the beach. If you find a beach restaurant, they will let you use the lounge chairs for free as long as you have lunch there. the water is warm and clear. There are boats on the shore that will take you to the snorkeling areas just a short ways from the beach. The price is about $20/pp.
Kaboochi Posted February 15, 2012 Author #31 Share Posted February 15, 2012 Can you tell me which bars allow smoking and which bars are non smokingThanks Casino Bar, bar on 9 mid (by big screen). Not sure of other places. I do know there is a cigar bar my DH and his buddies went to. Starboard outside allows smoking. You can also smoke at the tables starboard side at the midship bar on deck 9. Although I thought had read somewhere here that the Cigar Bar for whatever reason was now Non Smoking. DH will be pleased if it is really a Cigar Bar.
