Has anyone stayed in AB catagory on caribe deck? Are the balconies partly covered?

AB catagory are minisuites. There are no AB cabins on caribe deck. I think you may mean BA, which is a balcony cabin on caribe. All BA and BB on caribe deck have large balconies. They are partially covered and are 9x9.

 

If you really meant AB minisuite which are on dolphin deck, those balconies are not covered and are 9x7.
