tnf Posted April 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Just booked our first cruise with Royal Caribbean on the Monarch of the Seas. We are excited! I was told that Ben and Jerrys ice cream was free, now i just read on here that there is a charge for it. Do they have any ice cream that do not charge for? Also what are drink prices? Prices for a soda card? Do they have drink coupons you can order before you go? Thanks for any info on this ship Tina Radisson Seven Seas Royal Caribbean Int'l Windstar Cruises View All Sailing Calendars Hide All Sailing Calendars
surfsup Posted April 19, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2005 TINA, alot of your questions will be answered if you just start scrolling down and looking at different posts. Ben & Jerry's is not free and neither is Seattle's Best Coffee. They are side by side and kinda pricey but worth it to some. Ice cream is available (soft serve) in the alternative dining room and every night you can get all types of flavors in the main dining room and don't forget room service. Drinks are kinda pricey. around $6 for a pina colada. Daily drink specials can help cut the cost. Enjoy.
surfsup Posted April 19, 2005 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Oh yeah fountain cards are only sold on the first day. Seems like it was around $42 for an adult. It's a little cheaper for a child. You also get a large drinking cup, like a travel mug but bigger with your purchase. Saw lots of those around the ship.
beachchick Posted April 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2005 Soda stickers are per day: $4 for kids/$6 for adults, plus 15%. You can only buy them for the duration of the cruise. If you buy it on the third day of a 7 day cruise, you will still pay for 7 days. Seattle's Best regular, plain old coffee is free; specialty coffee drinks are not. Drink of the day is usually a better deal--as long as you insist on getting it in a regular glass and not the souvenier one that costs a couple of dollars more, per drink. beachchick
