San Juan lines

Recommended Posts

My husband has a back injury that is aggravated by standing long periods of time. Is there a way to avoid long lines for the Victory boarding? Any Dr. notes that would help. If he is feeling fine, I wont mind the lines... I just want to know what to do if it becomes an issue. Thanks!

Contact the "special needs" desk at the cruise line before you leave and request "wheelchair" embarkation. Then when you arrive at the port tell them you need wheelchair assistance and it a short while a porter with a chair will arrive to assist you. Now if he won't accept wheelchair assistance (I only mention that since I had a long term problem with stubbornly refusing wheelchairs) then you may want to delay your arrival at the port until about 2 or so hours after boarding starts when the lines will be shorter.
