Best way to see Harrison's Cave and swim w/turtles?

Investigating the best way to see both the caves and swim/snorkel with the turtles. See that Glory Tours covers both of these in their land & Sea tour for $121 per person. Is there a better or more affordable way to do this? Just take a taxi to Harrison's Cave and then to the beach with the turtles? Or would this end up being more expensive than simply booking the tour? Any and all input is welcome - including a more affordable tour company (paying for a family of 4) if you know of one. Thanks!

Does that include admission to the cave? The entry fee is at least $20 for adults, I think. It's a fairly long, winding drive, and the cave tour can take longer than an hour depending on how long you have to wait for the cave tram. Is there anything else included in the tour???

I have a slideshow and GPS trail of the route to the cave if anybody wants to see it.

Just returned from Barbados - I organized 40 people to swim

the sea turtles and used Barbados Blue - great experience and reasonable-$40.00 per person - great staff - lots of time in the water -did the turtles and a ship wreck - $5.00 per person (one way) cab drive

to the location (besides the Hilton). Great beach right there to go to

after for snorkeling. Everyone said it was their favourite tour of the cruise.

Ms411, I assume from the tour description that the $121 includes the entrance fee for Harrison's Cave - and the tour does include additional stops. Here's the link to Glory's Best of Barbado's tour http://www.glorytours.org/Combotourspage.html

From other posts it sounds like a taxi would cost aprox $30 each way to get to Harrison's Cave. Also from posts, it sounds like Carlise Bay has turtles and is relatively close to the pier -- so low taxi fare. However, adding the admission price of the caves to the taxi fare makes it sound like Glory tours is a more affordable option.

We signed up for the Glory Tours - Harrison's Cave, Nature Preserve and beach (also including lunch) - think it was $86 each. Ended up with only 4 of us and they took us snorkling over a shipwreck and then snorkled with the turtles, instead of just beach time.

Not what the other couple or us had expected, but we were happy with it! This was just a few weeks ago - maybe they would personalize your day, if you asked?
