We were there last week and really enjoyed Palm Court Gardens, a short 10-15 minute walk from the port. Go left along the shore, with ocean on your left, to the War Memorial and tuen go up the hill about 100 yards. Cost is $10 per person, which includes use of the pool, padded lounge chairs, a wonderful view down on the bay and wonderful gardens and a friendly staff. All proceeds go towards supporting the island's underprivileged youth. We also enjoyed Shipwreck Beach, a $15 taxi ride from town. Cheap food and drinks and a nice beach. It's famous for the monkeys that come out of the trees and brush, but stay away from the tables, and you will probably see a mongoose or two as well.
